FleetDownloader (the "App") is a macOS download manager developed by Azimjon Abdurasulov (the "Developer", "we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how your privacy is protected.
Summary
FleetDownloader does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. The App has no user accounts, no backend server, and no analytics or tracking. Everything the App stores stays on your own Mac.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, receive, or have access to any of the following:
- Personal information (name, email, address, phone number)
- Account credentials (the App has no sign-in)
- Usage analytics, telemetry, or crash reports sent to us
- Advertising identifiers or tracking data
- Your download history or the contents of your downloads
The App contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
To function, the App stores the following only on your Mac, inside its sandboxed application container. This data never leaves your device and is never sent to us or any third party:
- Download records — URLs you add, file names, sizes, progress, status, and timestamps (stored in a local SQLite database so downloads can resume after a restart).
- Settings — your preferences such as default save folder, connection count, speed limits, theme, retry options, and per-host profiles.
- Connection details you enter — custom HTTP headers, cookies, referer, user-agent, and proxy configuration (including any proxy username/password). These are stored locally and used solely to perform the downloads you request.
- Window state — window size and position, so the App reopens the way you left it.
You can delete all of this at any time by removing the App and its data, or by using the in-App "Reset to defaults" option.
3. Clipboard Access
The App includes an optional Clipboard Monitor that reads copied text to detect downloadable links and offer to add them. This happens entirely on your device:
- Clipboard contents are processed locally and never transmitted anywhere.
- Non-URL clipboard content is ignored and not stored.
- You can disable the Clipboard Monitor at any time in Settings → Clipboard & Hotkey.
4. Network Connections
The App is a download manager, so it makes outbound network connections — but only to destinations you choose:
- It connects to the URLs you add in order to download the requested files.
- If you configure a proxy, traffic is routed through that proxy as you instructed.
- The App does not connect to any server operated by the Developer. There is no "phone home" behavior.
5. Permissions the App Requests
Under the macOS App Sandbox, the App requests the minimum permissions needed to work:
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Outgoing network connections | To download the files you request |
| Downloads folder (read/write) | Default save location for your downloads |
| User-selected folders (read/write) | To save downloads to folders you pick |
| Clipboard (read) | Optional link detection (can be disabled) |
| Notifications | To tell you when a download finishes |
The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal data.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. Because we collect no personal data from anyone, we do not knowingly collect any information from children.
7. Data Security
Because all data stays on your device within the macOS sandbox, your information is protected by macOS's built-in security and the file-system protections of your Mac. We recommend keeping macOS up to date and using full-disk encryption (FileVault).
8. Your Rights
Since we do not collect or hold any of your personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on our side. You remain in full control of all App data on your own device. Privacy rights under regulations such as the GDPR (EU/EEA) and CCPA (California) are respected by design — no data is collected to begin with.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, noted in the App's release notes.
