Summary
SwipeClean is built to be private. All photo analysis happens entirely on your device. Your photos and videos are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with us or anyone else. We do not collect personal data, we do not use third-party tracking, and we do not require an account.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect, store, or transmit your photos or videos.
- We do not collect your name, email, contacts, or location.
- We do not use advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking.
How SwipeClean Uses Your Photo Library
- SwipeClean requests access to your photo library (PhotoKit) only to scan, display, organize, and—when you confirm—delete photos and videos you choose.
- All scanning (quality scoring, duplicate detection, blur and screenshot detection) is performed locally on your device using Apple's on-device frameworks (Vision and, on supported devices, Apple Intelligence / Foundation Models).
- Deleting photos uses Apple's PhotoKit. Deleted items move to your "Recently Deleted" album and are permanently removed by the system after 30 days, per iOS behavior. SwipeClean never permanently erases anything outside this standard system flow.
- If you grant limited photo access, SwipeClean only ever sees the photos you select.
Apple Intelligence Features (supported devices)
On devices that support Apple Intelligence, optional natural-language search and cleanup summaries are processed on-device by Apple's Foundation Models. No photo content or query is sent to us or to any external server by SwipeClean.
Purchases & Subscriptions
- Purchases (SwipeClean Premium) are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment information.
- Subscription management, billing, and receipts are handled by your Apple ID / App Store account.
Data Stored Locally
SwipeClean may cache analysis results (such as quality scores keyed to photo identifiers) on your device only, to avoid re-scanning. This data never leaves your device and is removed when you delete the app.
Children's Privacy
SwipeClean does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
