Privacy Policy — Koe
Effective date: 12 August 2026 Last updated: 12 August 2026
Koe ("the App") is developed and published by Azimjon Abdurasulov ("we", "us", "the Developer"). This Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information when you use Koe.
Summary
Koe does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share any personal data.
There is no account and no sign-up. The App contains no analytics, no advertising, no trackers, and no third-party software development kits. Everything you write and record stays on your device, inside your own private iCloud account, or in a destination you explicitly choose — such as your Photos library or a share sheet. We have no server that receives your data, and we cannot see your scripts or your recordings.
1. Information we do not collect
We do not collect, receive, or store any of the following:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or any other contact information
- Account credentials (Koe has no accounts)
- Your scripts, notes, or any text you write in the App
- Your video or audio recordings
- Photos or videos from your Photos library
- Location data
- Contacts, calendars, reminders, or health data
- Device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or usage analytics
- Crash reports or diagnostic logs sent to us
Koe does not include any analytics, attribution, advertising, or crash-reporting service.
2. Information stored on your device
Koe stores the following locally on your device. This information is under your control and is never transmitted to us.
| What | Where it is stored |
|---|---|
| Your scripts | The App's local database on your device |
| Video recordings | Your Photos library, when you choose to save a recording |
| Audio recordings | The App's private Documents folder on your device |
| Preferences and settings | The App's local settings storage on your device |
Preferences include items such as your reading theme, text size, scroll speed, camera frame rate and resolution. They contain no personal information.
3. iCloud sync
If you are signed in to iCloud and have iCloud Drive enabled, your scripts are synchronised across your own Apple devices using Apple's CloudKit service, in the private database of your personal iCloud account.
- This data is stored by Apple under your Apple Account, not by us.
- We have no access to it. The Developer cannot read, export, or recover your iCloud data.
- Apple's handling of this data is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.
- You can disable this at any time in Settings → [your name] → iCloud on your device.
Your video and audio recordings are not synchronised by the App. Videos are saved to your Photos library, which may be backed up by iCloud Photos according to your own Apple settings.
4. Device permissions
Koe asks for the following permissions. Each is used only for the stated purpose, only while you are actively using the relevant feature, and always locally on your device.
| Permission | Why Koe asks for it |
|---|---|
| Camera | To show the live preview and record video while you read the teleprompter |
| Microphone | To record audio during video recording and in audio-only mode |
| Photos (add only) | To save a finished video recording to your Photos library |
Notes:
- The camera and microphone are active only during a recording session. Koe never records in the background and never records without you starting a take.
- The Photos permission is add-only. Koe can save new recordings to your library; it cannot read, browse, or delete your existing photos and videos.
- No camera or microphone data is ever streamed, uploaded, or sent off your device.
- You can revoke any of these permissions at any time in Settings → Koe on your device.
5. AI features
Koe's AI writing features — such as rewriting, shortening, or changing the tone of a script — run entirely on your device using Apple's on-device foundation models.
- Your script text is processed locally on your iPhone.
- Nothing is sent to us, to Apple, or to any other company for AI processing.
- These features work offline and require a device that supports Apple's on-device intelligence. On devices without support, the feature is simply unavailable.
If a future version of Koe ever introduces an AI feature that requires sending text to a server, we will update this Privacy Policy before that feature is released, and the App will make it clear when such a feature is used.
6. Third-party services
Koe contains no third-party SDKs, no advertising networks, no analytics providers, and no social login. The only external platform involved is Apple, which provides:
- iCloud / CloudKit — for syncing your scripts within your own account (Section 3)
- The App Store — for distributing the App and processing any purchases
Apple's own privacy practices apply to those services. We receive from Apple only aggregate, anonymous App Store statistics (such as total download and crash counts), which cannot identify any individual user.
7. Purchases
If Koe offers paid features, all purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment card details, billing address, or Apple Account credentials. Apple provides us only anonymised, aggregated sales reporting.
8. Children's privacy
Koe is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Because the App collects no personal data at all, no such data about a child can be collected, stored, or disclosed.
9. Data retention and deletion
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our side.
To remove data held on your device or in your iCloud account:
- Scripts — delete them inside the App, or delete the App to remove its local database.
- iCloud copies — turn off iCloud for Koe, or remove the App's data in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
- Audio recordings — delete them in the App, or delete the App to remove its Documents folder.
- Video recordings — delete them from your Photos app. Recordings saved to Photos are yours and are not removed when the App is deleted.
Deleting the App removes its local database, its settings, and its Documents folder from your device.
10. Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR (Europe), the CCPA/CPRA (California), and the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Personal Data" grant rights of access, correction, deletion, portability, and objection to the processing of your personal data.
Because Koe collects and processes no personal data, we hold nothing to disclose, correct, export, or erase. You retain full and direct control over all content on your own device and in your own iCloud account. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not engage in cross-app tracking, so no opt-out is required.
If you believe you have a privacy request relating to the App, you may contact us at the address in Section 13 and we will respond.
11. Security
Your content is protected by the security of your own device and Apple's platform:
- Data stored by the App benefits from iOS file-level data protection and device encryption.
- iCloud data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple.
- Because there is no server and no transmission of your content to us, there is no Developer-side database that could be breached.
We recommend keeping a device passcode, Face ID or Touch ID enabled, and keeping iOS up to date.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if a new feature changes how data is handled. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this document and publish the new version at the same address. Material changes affecting how your information is handled will be announced in the App or in the App Store release notes. Continuing to use Koe after an update means you accept the revised policy.

Appendix — App Store privacy label
For the App Store "App Privacy" section, Koe declares:
Data Not Collected — The developer does not collect any data from this app.
This declaration covers every data category. Scripts synchronised through CloudKit are stored in the user's own private iCloud database, which the Developer cannot access, and therefore are not "collected" by the Developer under Apple's definition.
