Sukun is a minimal calm companion designed to help you breathe, rest, and find stillness — all without compromising your privacy. This policy describes how we handle your information when you use the Sukun application.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
Sukun is a privacy-first application. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data to any external servers. The app operates entirely offline — no network connections, no analytics, no tracking.
We do not collect:
- Personal information (name, email, phone number)
- Location data
- Usage analytics or session history
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
2. Information Stored Locally
All your data is stored locally on your device using Apple's standard storage mechanisms (UserDefaults):
- Session Preferences: Your preferred breathing duration (30s, 60s, 120s).
- Soundscape Settings: Your selected ambient sound combinations and volume levels.
- Appearance Preferences: Your chosen accent color, theme, and background settings.
- App Settings: Language preference, haptics toggle, sleep timer configuration, and voice narration preference.
- Mood Selections: Your mood check-in responses (Calm, Stressed, Tired, Anxious).
This data never leaves your device. If you delete the app, all local data is permanently removed.
3. Audio and Haptics
Sukun uses the device's audio system to play bundled ambient sounds (rain, ocean, forest, white noise, etc.) and the haptic engine for gentle feedback. All audio files are bundled within the app — no streaming or downloading occurs.
4. Notifications
Sukun may use Apple's UserNotifications framework to deliver breathing session reminders. These notifications are scheduled and triggered entirely on-device. No notification data is sent to us or any third party.
5. Third-Party Services
Sukun does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, analytics platforms, or advertising networks. The app contains no third-party code that collects data.
6. Children's Privacy
Sukun does not collect any personal data from anyone, including children under 13. Because no data is collected or transmitted, the app is safe for users of all ages.
7. Changes to Our Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be reflected within the app or on its respective App Store page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
